Be sure not to click on "Erase and Sync" at this point or the contents of the iPod touch will be replaced with the computer's iTunes Library.5 Go to the "File" menu in iTunes on your computer and choose "Transfer Purchases" if you do not get a dialog box. This is an alternate way to copy material to your computer.

6 Confirm that your iTunes purchases were successfully downloaded to your computer. Click on the appropriate tab in your summary pane--"Movies," "TV Shows" or "Podcasts"--to see that the videos have been transferred.

Tips & Warnings

You will not be able to copy videos you have rented from iTunes from your iPod to another location. Per the rental agreement, you will only be able to view rented movies 1 time before they become unavailable.
